Ms. Marlene Cerny has been the Practice Manager at DuPage Health Specialists since its inception in 1995. Prior to that, Ms. Cerny was the Practice Manager at the Edward Hospital Women's Center for Health where she worked with Drs. Emery-Stolzer and Hsia from 1990 to 1995. Her background includes a B.A. in English and Secondary Education from the University of Illinois, Chicago. She entered the field of medicine through public relations, where she was involved in writing employee and community newsletters.

Ms. Cerny's goal is to provide DuPage Health Specialists' patients with a knowledgeable, empathetic staff who work together to provide great customer service, treat patients with respect, listen carefully to patients, and make every attempt to solve patient problems. Additionally, Ms. Cerny works continuously with staff to ensure DuPage Health Specialists is up-to-date with HIPAA and OSHA requirements and compliant with Medicare guidelines. Ms. Cerny understands the managed care environment and is a good source of information for patients with questions regarding their insurance plans and coverage issues.

Ms. Cerny is married with two children, two grandchildren, and one “grandpuppy.” When she's not at work, Ms. Cerny enjoys gardening, reading, hiking in the Smokey Mountains, and photography.
