Dr. Barbara Emery-Stolzer is a specialist in Internal Medicine and has been with DuPage Health Specialists since its inception in 1995. She grew up in New York and graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Biology in 1978. She attended Wayne State University's School of Medicine and did her postgraduate residency training at Northwestern University in Chicago. She was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1986 and practiced at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago before moving to Naperville, where she began her medical practice in 1990. She is on the medical staff at Edward Hospital in Naperville.

Dr. Emery-Stolzer feels that communication is very important, and that sufficient time must be allowed to really hear what the patient is saying. Her special interests are in preventive care practices and fostering a healthy lifestyle, both mentally and physically.

Dr. Emery-Stolzer lives in Naperville with her husband, Paul, and their three children. She enjoys reading, music, athletics, and her animals. Her hobbies include scuba diving, skiing, and gardening.
