Hi, my name is Dr. Kimberly Wright and I am very excited about joining DuPage Health Specialists on August 25th 2007. What an honor to have the opportunity to practice with this group of all female physicians who take such a compassionate and empathetic approach as their treatment style. Making sure to carefully listen to and address all concerns and providing only the highest quality of care in a warm and caring atmosphere. I know this will be the perfect fit.

Growing up in Chicago, I have been very fortunate to benefit from the excellent quality of education that Illinois has to offer. I graduated from Lane Tech High School, The University of Illinois in Champagne/Urbana, Chicago Medical School, and completed my Ob/Gyn Residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center. As a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, I am a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. I have been successfully practicing OB-Gyn in the Western Suburbs of Chicago for the past five years.

Although I enjoy seeing all women in all stages of life, through referrals and word of mouth I have grown to have a large teenage and perimenopausal population. I embrace all aspects of OB Gyn, and some of my special interests include, abnormal paps, colposcopy, irregular and abnormal bleeding, heavy bleeding, sterilization and operative hysteroscopy. I like to involve the patient in their care and the decision making process, presenting options and explaining the risks and benefits of each so that the patient may make an informed decision. I tend to take the least invasive approach, but of course taking into consideration the patients’ desire for definitive therapy and clinical condition. I not only enjoy but also find it necessary to remain current on the latest medical information, treatments and technology, offering a minimally invasive approach and the latest technology of procedures done in the office such as Essure, www.essure.com and endometrial ablation by Novasure, www.novasure.com, without the risks of anesthesia.

What do I enjoy in my spare time? Although my husband would say shoe shopping, I do enjoy traveling, indoor gardening, listening to music and entertaining. I love coming up with new and creative party favors for our guests. My favorite artists include Prince, Michael Buble and Bonnie Raitt. Recently married two years ago, my husband and I frequent Chicago regularly and really enjoy living in Naperville.
